Machine Learning Researcher

2016 - 2020 (Expected)

Ph.D., University College London

Computer Science

Supervisors: Prof. Jun Wang (primary)

                     Prof. John Shawe-Taylor

My research focus is on multi-agent deep reinforcement learning, a joint area of deep learning, game theory, and reinforcement learning.

I did my PhD during my full-time job at AIG and Huawei as a ML research scientist. I contribute to the research community by publishing peer-reviewed research papers, and serving as reviewers for top conferences including NIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, etc.

2013 - 2014

M.Sc., Imperial College London

Quant. Biology (Bio-statistics)

Distinction (top 2). My master thesis was advised by Dr. James Rosindell and Dr. Dan Reuman on understanding the population dynamics of animal migrations, which ignites my interest in studying multi-agent systems.

2009 - 2013

B.Eng., University of Science and Technology of China

Electronic Engineering

USTC is an elite university in China. I ranked the 3rd in GaoKao among those who were admitted by USTC from my province. During my undergraduate time, I earned several small yet fun awards ☺:
